About CandyLover

CandyLover is the Chocolate Atlas: a guide to 1,411 chocolates from specialist UK retailers, organised the way chocolate lovers actually choose — by where the cacao grew and how dark the bar is.

We do not sell chocolate ourselves. Every listing links straight through to the shop that stocks it, and the checkout, payment, delivery and returns are all handled by that retailer.

How the atlas works

Product names, descriptions, images and prices come from the retailers' own product feeds, which we refresh daily. We read each description for two things: a stated cocoa percentage, which places the bar on our intensity scale, and a single named growing origin, which places it on the atlas. We only use what the maker states — we never guess — so a bar with no stated percentage or a blend of several origins simply won't appear there.

The origin profiles, intensity guides and Journal articles are written by us.

Prices and stock

Prices move, and stock sells out. Always check the price on the retailer's site before you buy — that figure is the one that counts.
